| Many Christians today love the messages about blessings from God, defeating the giants, and taking the Promised Land. But where were the Israelites before the promised land? They were in the wilderness. There is a season of wilderness that God wants to take us through to refine us and prepare us, and instead of running from it, we must surrender. My wife Anna Elisabeth and I know this all too well. We had everything going for us, a successful ministry, stable finances, the house, the job, everything we could have wanted or needed. But things started to radically shift. Everything we had built starting crumbling before our very eyes. But instead of running, we decided to surrender to God’s wilderness process. What we are realizing is how much we put our faith in those things, instead of God. This process has been the most difficult thing we have ever done, but we know the reward is the greatest. Don’t run away from your wilderness process. Surrender it ALL to Jesus. I promise you, He has a purpose. He wants to refine you, He wants to GROW you. Don’t take yourself out early, or you will miss the blessing of what the wilderness produces. Be encouraged today. |
